The Kangaroo lounge chair is the perfect balance of geometry and comfort. The iconic angular teak frame and natural handwoven rattan strike a perfect balance of form and function, reminiscent of the Pierre Jeanneret Kangaroo chair.

We offer a cushion with our lounge chair, perfect for additional comfort and to protect and extend the life of the natural rattan and an ideal choice for a wood lounge chair indoor setting

Originally designed for the Chandigarh Administrative Buildings, this piece embodies the timeless appeal of a mid-century lounge chair.

HANDCRAFTED WITH TRADITIONAL WOODCRAFT TECHNIQUES

Our carpenters use a variety of time-tested joinery methods to craft each chair’s solid teak frame.

The visible joinery adds beauty, provides strength, and helps us minimize the use of metal fasteners, all essential qualities of a well-crafted woven wood chair.

OVER 500 FEET OF NATURAL RATTAN

We hand weave the seat and backrest using the distinctive square webbing pattern, with rattan threaded directly through holes drilled into each teak frame, a signature detail of our rattan wood chairs.

This adds a lightness and transparency, both literally and visually, as well as ergonomic comfort.

USE A CUSHION TO LOUNGE IN COMFORT

For additional comfort and to protect the natural rattan, we recommend a cushion for daily use.
