TREES FOR TREES PARNTERSHIP
We partner with Trees4Trees, an Indonesian nonprofit foundation focused on renewing the environment and empowering local communities through reforestation and education.
Trees4Trees distributes seedlings of high value species to local farmers, along with technical guidance on planting, sustainable forestry practices and education. The trees are recorded and monitored on a continuing basis.
“Fast furniture” is the leading problem of the home goods industry today. Most of it consists of chopped up pieces of wood sealed together with glues containing toxic chemicals and then laminated with plastic—solid wood furniture has almost become a thing of the past.
Produced and sold by some of the biggest brands and retailers, these low quality items are offered at prices so cheap that many people consider them disposable. In fact, since 1960 furniture waste has grown by 500 percent.
